To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of reasons for the 86 per cent increase in complaints to the Financial Ombudsman on the activities of credit reference agencies between 2014-15 and 2015-16; and if he will make a statement.

This question has been passed on to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FOS will reply to directly to the Honourable Member by letter. A copy of the letter will be placed in the Library of the House.
