Prior to the introduction of the Defence Reform Act and the Single Source Contract Regulations in December 2014, there was no statutory reporting regime and the Department could not issue compliance or penalty notices. Since the introduction of the Single Source Contract Regulations, the Department has not had occasion to issue any such notices on qualifying Defence contracts or qualifying Defence sub-contracts.
