Home Office written question – answered on 8th March 2017.
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what her policy is on application of the attendance procedure to disabled employees in her Department; whether that policy has changed in the last seven years; and if she will make a statement.
The Home Office has had three different attendance management policies during the last seven years that are applicable to all its employees.
The policies make it clear that, where appropriate, reasonable adjustments should be made for disabled employees in line with the Department’s responsibilities under the Equality Act.
