To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many asylum applications to the UK by Eritrean nationals were (a) made and (b) granted in each of the last five years.
The Home Office publishes the number of asylum applications and initial decisions broken down by nationality, each quarter in table as_01 of the Immigration Statistics release. The latest figures are available at the following link:
