Member for Carshalton and Wallington, representing the House of Commons Commission, further to the published FOI House of Lords disclosure log entitled Parliamentary rifle range [FOI 988], what verification steps were taken to ensure firearms were held in locked cabinets in compliance with the Firearms Act 1968.

Routine external inspections were carried out by the Police, consistent with the practices applied to other private rifle clubs and ranges. Ad hoc internal checks were carried out by Black Rod and Black Rod staff.
