Department for International Trade written question – answered on 2nd March 2017.
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, whether liberalisation of the UK's agricultural markets has been raised (a) in his discussions with his counterpart in New Zealand and (b) within the UK-New Zealand trade policy dialogue.
We have discussed a range of trade topics with New Zealand, including the strong political commitment from New Zealand and the UK to take the lead in pushing for greater global free trade. In line with international normal practice, it would not be appropriate to routinely provide details on private diplomatic engagement with foreign Governments.
