To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, how many civil servants of his Department oversee contracts which have been awarded to external providers.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has a dedicated Commercial function, which is currently comprised of 24 staff. Additionally, for each contract awarded to external providers, the Department identifies a member of DIT staff to act as a contract manager, as part of their wider responsibilities.
