To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, what assessment he has made of the effect of City Deals on cities in Scotland.

I am pleased that the UK Government has committed to, or is in discussions with, each of Scotland’s cities to deliver a City Region Deal. All deals are in line with Treasury Green Book Guidance, and each is subject to rigorous governance arrangements that have been agreed by both UK and Scottish Governments.
