To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what plans his Department has to introduce legislative proposals to prevent vehicles parking on pavements.

The Government believes that pavement parking is better addressed on a local basis and powers are already available to local authorities to do so. The Department for Transport is looking at ways of improving and simplifying the process for local authorities to use these powers.
