To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, who represented the Government at the 38th round of the Geneva International Discussions in December 2016; and what assessment the Government has made of the outcome of those discussions.

The British Government is not directly represented at the Geneva International Discussions (GID). The UK is a member of all three international organisations acting as co-chairs. We continue to support the GID dialogue process as a platform for all parties to the conflict to discuss both security issues and the humanitarian needs of the conflict-affected populations.
