To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, when he expects the next round of the Geneva International Discussions to be held; and what the Government's priorities will be for those discussions.

​The 39th round of the Geneva International Discussions is scheduled for 28-29 March 2017. The British Government, in line with all other EU member states, has a clear policy of non-recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia's claims to independence, and recognises Georgia's territorial integrity and its sovereignty over these two regions. We encourage all parties to the Geneva International Discussions to work towards resolution of the conflicts and an improved humanitarian situation for the conflict-affected populations.
