To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, whether the absence of a reference to age in the Bilateral Development Review commitment to Leave No One Behind represents a change of policy to no longer include older people in the Government's implementation of that commitment.

There has been no change in DFID’s policy on older people. In implementing the commitment to Leave No One Behind DFID is focusing on understanding, including and empowering those at risk of being left behind. This includes collecting age disaggregated data to better understand the needs of older people and how DFID programmes are reaching them.

Ms Patel, Having been part of DWP you will surely know that there are 550,000 pensioners abroad denied any indexation due to the fact that you and others condone the discrimination caused by the frozen pension policy or Section 20 of the Pension Act which shows a total lack of morality and integrity when you say " . In implementing the commitment to Leave No One Behind DFID is focusing on understanding, including and empowering those at risk of being left behind. " Ok , what about the UK state pensioners on a pittance due to the Governments intransigence over granting equality and respect that you ignore while throwing taxpayers money about.
