To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many cyber specials there are in police forces in England Wales; and how many of those officers have been recruited since January 2015.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many National Crime Agency Special Officers there are whose area of expertise is cybercrime; and how many such officers were recruited since January 2015.

Cyber Specials can be either Special Constables or volunteers.

Based on the latest information provided by police forces, there are at least 40 Cyber Specials in police forces across England and Wales. At least 21 have been recruited since January 2015.

The NCA currently have 22 Specials whose area of expertise is cyber crime. 19 of those were recruited since January 2015.
