To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Earl Howe on 31 January (HL4999), whether "summer" is defined as (1) from the summer solstice to the September equinox, or (2) June to August.

HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH is currently undertaking harbour trials as part of her test and integration phase. Sea trials will begin only on successful completion of this phase.

"Summer" was not defined in the answer to Question HL4999. Rather, the word was used to provide a broad indication of the likely timetable.
