The UK Government regularly raises human rights issues with Turkish counterparts. The UK Government is supporting work in Turkey to strengthen the Turkish clothing and textile sector's ability to implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The project will bring together business, trade unions and civil society to raise awareness of business's role on human rights, promote workplace social dialogue and address the root causes of human rights issues in the sector, including issues relating to Syrian workers.
