To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Gardiner of Kimble on 12 December (HL3633), what is their assessment of the contribution of pastoral hill farmers who are tenants of the National Trust to the conservation of heritage sheep breeds.

The Government recognises the important contribution of hill farmers to the conservation of heritage sheep breeds. We have no information on the particular contribution of hill farmers who are tenants of the National Trust.
