To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions his Department had with Volkswagen while considering its response to the Transport Select Committee's Third Report, Volkswagen emissions scandal and vehicle type approval, HC69.
The Department is in regular contact with Volkswagen to press them on a range of issues including their treatment of UK consumers and their progress in fixing vehicles following the emissions scandal. There were no discussions with Volkswagen on the content of the Department’s response to the Transport Select Committee’s Third Report of Session 16-17.
