To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what the total value is of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

As part of the National Productivity Investment Fund, the Chancellor of the Exchequer has provided £4,745m of new funding for Research and Development between 2017-18 and 2020-21. This includes a new Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund to direct some of that investment to a number of priority technologies. Further details of the funding will be set out in due course.
