To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make an assessment of the potential implications for road safety of drivers wearing spectacles purchased online.
Drivers are responsible for wearing the correct spectacles they need for driving regardless of where they are bought. The Department for Transport makes clear the eyesight standards for driving in its leaflets, forms and on GOV.UK. The Department supports the NHS’ recommendation that adults should have their eyes tested every two years.
