To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to paragraph 2.6 of the National Audit Office report, Delivering the Defence Estate, published on 15 November 2016; whether his Department has undertaken modelling to forecast the cumulative increase in the shortfall in funding required to sustain (a) service family accommodation and (b) naval dockyards.

In respect of Service Family Accommodation (SFA), the Department has invested in improving SFA and around 90% of housing meets the Decent Homes standard. We have assessed that around £300 million is required over the next 30 years to sustain and maintain SFA.

In respect of naval bases, risk adjusted modelling is run to forecast the costs required to sustain the naval dockyards.
