To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions he has had on enhancing consultation with stakeholders on the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation in the preparation and conduct of the forthcoming negotiations on the next such Scheme, in particular with industry bodies representing companies directly affected through their participation in the Scheme.

We have not had any discussions relating to a successor to the current five-year Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme, which came into effect on 1 January 2014.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
