The Department does not hold train-level performance information. Both Network Rail and relevant train operators provide comprehensive data and reports to the Department, but punctuality of individual trains is an operational matter for the industry to manage.

The Rail Delivery Group has recently launched a new online tool which enables customers to track the punctuality and reliability record of any train on the national network over a period of up to a year, which can be found at: http://www.mytrainjourney.co.uk/ .
