To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what arrangements she plans to put in place to ensure the best possible co-ordination between her Department and the Northern Ireland Executive in response to the result of the EU referendum.
The Government will make sure that the interests of all parts of our United Kingdom are protected and advanced as we prepare for negotiations to exit the EU.
The Northern Ireland Executive, as well as other devolved administrations across the UK, will be fully involved in this process.
A new civil service EU unit has been created to support this process, bringing together officials and policy expertise from across the Civil Service and reporting to the whole of Cabinet on delivering the outcome of the referendum.
My officials will work closely with this team and with their counterparts in the Northern Ireland Civil Service and Irish Government officials.
