To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what plans the Government has for the use of court buildings which may be closed under current proposals; and if he will make a statement.

Following completion of our consultation on the courts estate, consideration will be given as to the best way to dispose of the court to maximise value for money for the tax payer. Capital receipts from the sale of any surplus assets would be reinvested into HM Courts & Tribunals Service to help create a more modern, efficient and user-focused courts system.
