Ministry of Defence written question – answered on 18th September 2015.
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether legal advice on the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle against Reyaad Khan included consideration of the legal basis of the killing of people travelling with or in the vicinity of that person in the course of that military action.
The Attorney General's advice remains confidential but he advised that the action we took would be lawful. The UK's Armed Forces operate in accordance with domestic and international law.
