To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will make it his policy to maintain current levels of financial support for the assistance of Alzheimers patients.
This year the Better Care Fund will provide £5.3 billion of investment in better integrated care.
On 21 February 2015, The Prime Minister’s Challenge on Dementia 2020 was published, building on the achievements of the Prime Minister’s challenge on dementia 2012-2015.
The Government is clear that dementia remains a priority and will implement the 2020 Challenge in full to make sure that dementia care, support, awareness and research are transformed by 2020.
Spending commitments will be set out in the budget and the spending review and the 2020 Challenge sets out our ambitions for further improving care and support for dementia over the next five years.
