To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he is taking to ensure that recommendations by NICE on the availability of new drug treatments are fully implemented by NHS England.
National Health Service commissioners, including NHS England for its directly commissioned services, are legally required to fund drugs and treatments recommended in National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) technology appraisal guidance, normally within three months of the publication of NICE’s guidance.
