To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what assessment he has made of trends in the rate of mental ill health of carers in the last five years.

The Department does not routinely collect data on the mental health status of carers. Therefore, we are unable to provide trend data on the rate of mental ill health among carers for the past five years.
