To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many (a) Army, (b) Royal Navy and (c) Royal Air Force personnel are deemed unfit for active service.
The information requested is shown in the table below. The numbers provided include those who are temporarily unfit for duty and under medical care, and those who are medically unfit for service. Both are therefore classed as unfit for active service, as per the hon. Member’s question.
