To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what assessment he has made of the mobile and fixed broadband demands of internet advertising; and what assessment he has made of the potential effect of that advertising on network requirements over the current Parliament.
Ofcom's Infrastructure Report looks at the state of the UK's communications infrastructure, its coverage, capacity and reliability. Ofcom is currently carrying out some research to quantify the extent to which mobile network capacity is affecting consumer experience. No assessment has yet been made however of the effect that the growth of internet advertising is having on fixed and mobile network requirements.
