To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what representations he has received from his counterpart in the Welsh Government on retaining current routes within the Wales and Borders rail franchise.

The Department is working closely with the Wales Office and the Welsh Government to implement the in principle devolution agreement reached in November 2014. This will include decisions on any services to be transferred from the Wales and Border franchise following expiry of the current franchise.
