To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps he plans to take to ensure that economic benefits accruing from the Northern Powerhouse policy are felt in every town and city in the region.

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what steps he is taking to ensure that (a) Huddersfield and (b) other smaller towns and cities benefit from policies introduced as part of the Northern Powerhouse policy.

Creating a Northern Powerhouse enables the North to reach its full potential as a driving force in the UK economy. Investing in science and technology, transport, digital and innovation, culture and tourism across the region – in cities, towns and counties – alongside devolving power, will give the North a powerful new voice.
