To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Randerson on 5 February (HL4534) regarding "on the runs", why it took until December 2012 for the Northern Ireland Office to implement the decision taken in August 2012 not to accept any new cases.

No new cases were accepted by the Northern Ireland Office (NIO) after August 2012. The last letter sent by the NIO in December 2012 was to an individual whose case had been raised with the NIO before August 2012.
