To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, what information his Department holds on the number of paid staff working for Citizens Advice Bureaux in each of the last 10 years.
The Department does not hold this information. Citizens Advice has provided the following data on the number of paid staff working in bureaux across the network but this is only available for 7 of the past 10 years.

Accurate electronic recording of data on staff numbers across the bureaux network has only been possible in the last 7 years, prior to which statistics were collected across the network either manually or in a variety of different data systems.
