To ask the Secretary of State for Health, on how many occasions and at what cost patients who were admitted to psychiatric facilities run by Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust were placed out of area in the last year.

We are advised by the NHS Trust Development Agency that in the last year, 356 service users were placed in out of area beds a total of 438 times, at a cost of £5,671,000.
