To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate she has made of the cost to her Department of providing check-off services for trade union contributions in each year since 2010.

An estimate of the recent cost of providing the check-off facility has been made. The cost was not significant. The Home Office decided to remove the check-off facility but cost was not given as a reason for doing so.
