Northern Ireland Office written question – answered on 8th December 2014.

The Government takes this issue seriously though measures to deal with it are primarily for the Northern Ireland Executive.
I am aware that one of the aims of the Northern Ireland Executive’s United Community strategy is to meet the needs of young people, including those from a Protestant working class background.
Through the Economic Pact agreed in June 2013, this Government provided additional borrowing powers to support projects which promote a shared society, including schools and further education colleges, which will contribute towards meeting the needs of young people from a range of backgrounds including the group referred to in the hon Member’s question.
