A Tier 2 sponsor is not required to provide its district, county or unitary authority as part of its sponsor licence application. The Home Office classifies sponsors by region, based on its postcode prefix. The following table shows the breakdown of small and medium-sized enterprises currently holding a Tier 2 general sponsor licence by region.
