To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many children of (a) pre-school, (b) primary school and (c) secondary school age were diagnosed with type one diabetes in each of the last 10 years.

The Department does not collect information centrally on the number of children with type 1 diabetes.

The majority of children with diabetes have their disease managed through specialist paediatric diabetes services.
