Eliminating and preventing violence against women and girls was the priority theme for the Commission on the Status of Women in 2013. The Coalition Government is committed to fulfilling our obligations to tackle such violence both in the UK and overseas. The cross-Government Action Plan, “A Call to End Violence against Women and Girls”, was published on 8 March and incorporates key recommendations from the “Agreed Conclusions”.
