To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has a veto power in relation to ports on COM(2013)296 on the proposed regulation of European ports.

No member state has a veto on this proposal. The legal base for the proposed Regulation is article 100(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) and it is consequently subject to qualified majority voting procedures.
