Treasury written question – answered on 4th March 2014.
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what recent discussions he has had with campaigners for a financial transaction tax; how many times he has met such campaigners since May 2010; and how many times he has met with representatives from the financial sector to discuss this issue in that time.
Treasury Ministers regularly meet with various stakeholders as part of normal Government business. As was the case with previous Administrations, it is not the Government's practice to provide details of all such meetings and discussions.
Details of ministerial and Permanent Secretary meetings with external organisations on departmental business are published on a quarterly basis and are available at:
