To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what funds for rail resilience work in the South West will come from (a) his Department’s existing budget and (b) other sources.
On 11 February, the Prime Minister confirmed a package of £31 million of funding for resilience works on the Great Western route. £26 million will be paid from Department for Transport funds and £5 million will come from Network Rail's budget.
