To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the average length of time taken by his Department is to answer a freedom of information request.
In 2013, the average time elapsed for freedom of information requests answered by HM Treasury was 17 working days. The Freedom of Information Act requires public authorities to reply within 20 working days.
