To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions whether his Department notifies claimants of attendance allowance at the start of the application process that they must state in their applications whether they are self-funded or receiving public funds to cover care costs.
The attendance allowance claim form asks claimants who are in a hospital or a care home whether any of the costs of their stay are borne out of public funds.
