To ask Her Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the prevalence of asbestos materials in Ministry of Defence buildings, and in particular of the continued existence of chrysotile asbestos in Ministry of Defence married quarters buildings.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) keeps a register of all buildings, including Service Families' Accommodation, that are known to contain asbestos. These buildings are inspected regularly in accordance with statutory guidelines as part of the MOD asbestos management plan.
