To ask the Secretary of State for Defence pursuant to the answer of 16 December 2013, Official Report, column 455, on international supply chains, which maritime security combined task forces are supported by the Scan Eagle unmanned maritime asset.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 10 December 2013, Hansard, column 198W. The Scan Eagle system is undergoing acceptance trials with the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and we expect to deploy it operationally soon. It will be available for use on deployments by both single ships and where our vessels are part of larger task forces. However, as a matter of routine we would not give details of the exact timings and locations of its use, as to do so would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the armed forces.
