To ask the Secretary of State for Education what discussions has he had with local authority leaders on the effects of rising costs of school transportation.

Officials have recently visited a sample of local authorities across the country to better understand their home-to-school transport policies.

I have also met former Department for Transport Minister, my hon. Friend Norman Baker, to discuss the provision of school transport.
