Electoral Commission Committee written question – answered on 14th January 2014.
To ask the hon. Member for South West Devon, representing the Speaker's Committee on the Electoral Commission, what research the Electoral Commission has commissioned on the reasons for public sector concern over electoral registration fraud.
The Electoral Commission informs me that it contracted the agency Define Research and Insight to carry out qualitative research with the public into perceptions of electoral fraud. The research was carried out in two phases between January and May 2013, and included a combination of group discussions and individual in-depth interviews undertaken in a range of locations across the UK.
