To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change (a) how many and (b) what proportion of fuel poor households in England were pre-payment customers in each year since 2007.
The number and proportion of fuel poor households in England under the low income high costs (LIHC) definition, who use pre-payment for gas or electricity is shown in the following table for each year of available data since 2007:
